1. french 202.
201 was a little more difficult than i expected, but we covered a lot of new ground upsettingly quickly. maybe this will be easier now that i've learned it. of course, i think i've lost it all the past few weeks.
2. biological anthropology.
it's required. i've had the professor, though. she's not too hardcore terrible, pretty lenient, reminds me a little of my older sister (not AN older sister), albeit a little obscure with tiny little assignments. i'm not too sure about this.
3. nineteenth century art.
it promises an emphasis on france. you cannot begin to understand my excitement over this. if post-impressionism were a person, i'd camp out on its porch every night, among other things.
4. proseminar in archaeology.
another requirement. it promises lots of writing.
5.archaeology of rock art, for honors.
i loves me some rock art. field trips are promised.
6. independent study.
it's already been very in-depth. and i always feel like i'm letting down the professor i'm working with, which is a horrible feeling. i'm scared. but i'm also getting paid for it. but that makes it that much more scary.
this afternoon i traded an honors-specific creative writing class that was held only once a week on wednesday nights for the rock art, thereby sacrificing my rock-star, friday-less schedule. however, i think it'll be worth it. i figured i'd cop a horrible attitude towards being told how to write things, and then share what i've done, although it probably would have been all kinds of beneficial.
i'm also sort of scared about my liberal studies requirements. i feel like time is running out. however, the way i've played it, i'm early with my language and applied sciences credits, so i could get those two more classes i need out of the way in the spring. what's more, i also only need two more classes for honors, so if things play out right, i could be fretting over nothing.
but then, i've also got a major commitment to my dorm this coming semester, because i allowed myself to be suckered into becoming its president, although i'm told it's actually the easiest position.
i've also been offered a job offer, and i'm scoping out a career-promising internship (having been jilted by the museum system).
well.
what doesn't kill you and all that, i suppose.
